Oscars ahead!

Just about to go out the door for a walk with Fitanna - a nice jaunt around the lake. Then it's off to the grocery store to pick up the ingredients for skewers for tonight's Oscar bash at A's. Yes, it's time once again for the ritual of good company, good food, and much trashing of what celebrities choose to wear. Honestly, it never fails to floor me how so many of these folks, with a gazillion dollars and all kinds of personal assistants, show up looking so awful! The curse of the Yes-Men, I guess...as in, "Yes, honey, you look great in that!" :-p Of course, lots of them will show up looking absolutely lovely, too. So much fun!

A little over 19 miles in for the week

It's Sunday afternoon, and I'm just about to dash off and pick up my friend M for some serious socializing before tonight's Oscar-fest, but I wanted to post this week's walk total before I forgot. N and I made our way around Green Lake this morning. It was so gorgeous out, I could barely speak - N undoubtedly thinks I'm the most untalkative person - but honestly, it was like April. We stopped in to Whole Foods after the walk, so I could buy fixings for tonight's skewers. Hope folks like them; I'm completely making up the recipe as I go along!
