Showering by candlelight
Sep. 18th, 2006 08:03 amI don't know what bewilders me more:
Fortunately our hot water heater is natural gas, so there was plenty of hot water to go along with the candlelight. I couldn't blow-dry my hair, but at least I'm clean.
Definitely an old-fashioned and rather trippy way to start what looks to be a doozy of a day.
- the fact that we lost power sometime last night (unusual in the metroplex, particularly since we had no windstorm or other ususal suspect)
- the fact that despite having no power (and therefore no alarm clocks)
fisherbear and I woke up in time to get ready for work and meet our vanpool as usual - even in my pre-coffee state I knew exactly where to find the oil lamps and lighting implements so that we could see to get ready for work
