Always a choke point
Nov. 21st, 2006 12:26 amI did more housecleaning and tidying yesterday, but I've reached the point of having to go through and reorganize the bookshelves in order to fit things in/get things put away, and that always slows things down. For one, I still have insufficient bookshelf space for all of my books. We're working on a longer-term solution for that, but in the meantime, it means I need to do yet another culling pass through the stacks to see what might be candidates for taking to the used book store/library. And then there's the reorganize-and-get-things-filed-together part. Not to mention the "wow, I haven't read this in a while, wonder if it's as good as I remember?" part, and the "oh that's where this got to; now I can read it" part, and so on. Must resist temptation!
But in spite of the slowdown, I tidied the guest room, reorganized all the DVDs, vaccummed and dusted and mopped the living room, reorganized the furniture in the living room, and am well underway in getting the bookcases in some kind of reasonable order. Hoping to be more or less finished with most of the upstairs today, but today is Pick Up The Turkey Day, so it might not happen.
