January Wrap-Up

January 1: New Year's Eve Party at![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
monkeybard and NordicBoy's place (the back end of it, anyway). New Year's Day: finish my turn of the round-robin I'm writing with monkeybard and send it to her with evil cackles.
January 3-7:fisherbear and I took a winter trip to Methow Valley, sharing a cabin with Luthien and RocketMan and having much fun with them and the other cabin's inmates (monkeybard, NordicBoy, GearDiva, and Snow Ninja). On the way home we were lucky enough to witness the Great Tumbleweed Migration of 2007 - and to make it over the pass before it closed ten minutes behind us.
January 10: Yet Another Friggin' Snow Day.
January 14: Reunion with People I Haven't Seen In Ages Day. In the morning, walk to a local coffee shop to meet up with JacquesBane, whom I don't think I've seen since monkeybard's wedding. Had a wonderful time talking with him, humilitas, Luthien, monkeybard, fisherbear, InterPlanetJanet, Technocrat, The Q, and others. Left mid-afternoon with humilitas just in time to meet up withtylik for tea and more catching up. Very full, very wonderful day with lots of food for thought.
January 17: Get photos from Methow organized enough to have work to show at small photo group.
January 19: Fisherbear's artists' reception for his current show at Salon Blast.
January 20: See a movie in a theater (okay, second-run theater, but still a theater) for the first time since March 2006. Fisherbear and I went to see The Fountain, which is utterly beautiful. Definitely not the kind of movie that's everybody's cup of tea, but I loved it.
January 22: Sent finished beta of story back to monkeybard (1 down, 1 yet to go).
January 27: Special lunch out with my sister.
January 29: Almost get run over by a car that was running a red light.
January 31: Realize it's been a busier month than I had guessed.
Of course there were lots of other events in the month, too, like dinners with my parents, various house projects, fire drills at work, etcetera - all the regular activities that make up the usual fabric of my life. But all in all, quite the busy month. And a good one.
