It's due out 7/21/07, which is a little later than I was hoping for. I really hoped Rowling would make her original preferred date of 7/07/07, but given how little time she's giving the publishers, it's amazing that it's making 7/21 at all. Upon hearing the news this afternoon, I immediately popped over to amazon.co.uk and placed my pre-order for the book, currently listed as £8.99, a dang sight cheaper than the $35.00 US it's supposed to retail for (even with the exchange rates being what they are and another £6 for airmail). And yes, all my copies are British. The book wasn't available in the US when I got the first one (thanks humilitas for bringing it to me!), and once I saw the utter foobar they made of the first book's title, I wouldn't have wanted the Americanized (dumbed-down) ones anyway.
It will be interesting to see how she wraps up the series.
