I ran a lot of errands this weekend, and got a lot of things done - no one huge thing, but lots of the little niggling things that drive you insane. Not that I got nearly enough done, but still, I can point to tangible accomplishments, and that always makes me feel good.
For example, the CD collection. I'd finally found some shelves that we thought would work for our CDs some months ago, and they'd been sitting in boxes waiting to be assembled until after
fisherbear completed some major organizational work in the cave. He put them together Thursday night, and Saturday midafternoon I stacked them, filled them with every CD we collectively own (or at least every CD I could find; I'm sure there are a scattered few hiding somewhere still to be filed), organized them all alphabetically by artist (or by collection title if it was a mixed collection or soundtrack), and created and placed letter-labels for each of the shelf compartments so you can see what section holds which letter-group at a glance. It's amazing how much better that little bit of organization made me feel. Of course you could say that the fact that I wanted the CDs filed alphabetically might indicate an inherently disturbed mind, but then again, you might just be jealous. ;-)
