February Wrap-Up

jaunthieOkay, okay, so it's March already, but I've been busy. Better late than never:
For the record, what I did with my February 2007:
February 1: Pre-ordered last Harry Potter book from the UK.
February 3: Had a massage (yay!), discovered that the brand of cat kibble J and M eat is no longer being made (boo!), and spend some time discovering I don't really like megamarts anymore.
February 4: Go emergency appliance-shopping, as dryer puts us on notice that it will no longer be functional. Come up with theme for upcoming photo show; slog through negatives looking for candidates for said show.
Feburary 7: Present working prints of nine candidates for upcoming show at small photo group review.
February 8: Advent of the Monster Printer.
February 9: New washer and dryer installed (yay!). Old washer, dryer, and freezer carted off as part of the delivery - no extra charge (double yay!). Send new freezer back as it won't fit in the space.
February 10: Go shopping for freezer that will fit in the space. Pick freezer out and arrange for new delivery date.
February 11: Spend day alternating between cleaning/organizing and working on prints for show.
February 14: Go out for a lovely four-course, prix-fixee dinner at Crepe Cafe with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

February 16: Take day off of work. Get up really early and bake apple cake for Grandma J's birthday dinner. Later in the morning, go to the Flower and Garden Show with She's Jake To Me and MamaBear. Pick up Big Bad Wolf in the afternoon and travel to Grandma's for her special birthday dinner - about which the less said, the better.
February 18: Chinese New Year Potluck. Got to catch up with lots and lots of people, cook a couple of interesting dishes for the potluck, make fortune cookies, drink fabulous tea, and eat lots of really yummy Chinese and asian-inspired dishes.
Feburary 19-21: Work on more prints for upcoming photo review group in between crazy days at work. Present more prints in progress at work group on Wednesday night.
February 24: Spend day printing like mad with much assistance fromfisherbear. New printer won't play nicely with my color profile and I can't talk to it directly; fisherbear must print to it for me. Old printer works like a champ until a sudden and not-easily-repairable failure in its continuous inking system late in the evening.
February 25: Spend morning running around trying to get paper that works with new printer since old paper doesn't want to feed; find paper, but it has tone issues, so wind up ironing old paper so it will feed through. Spend day continuing to print like mad. Finish printing in time to pick up humilitas and go to LawyerLady's wonderful Oscar-viewing party, for which I have seen exactly ZERO of the pictures in contention.
February 28: Realize that I'm far, far too busy to even think about trying to do a sum-up post for the month; it'll have to wait.
Of course there were lots of other events in the month, too, like meals with my parents, fire drills at work, house and garden work, sending out a double batch of double chocolate espresso brownies to my team in NC, perfecting a modification of that recipe for the owner of my favorite local coffee shop, etcetera - all relatively normal stuff (well, okay, except for the recipe tinkering on request, and even that's not all that unusual). But all in all, quite the busy month. And a good one, but one that didn't see enough writing and betaing work done. Of course I had a show to worry about, but I'm going to have to get the writing and betaing to the top of the list in March.
