I developed a migraine about mid-day yesterday, one of those that starts out as a moderately bad headache with odd visual effects, but warns you that it's going to get ever-so-much-worse if you give it a chance. I managed to tough it out for the rest of the day at work with the help of the "small" migraine drugs, but I was pretty much toast by the time I got home last night. I took it easy, tried to avoid using my eyes, took more medicine, and hoped for the best. Despite that, I woke up with it still going on this morning. About half an hour ago, I'd had enough of trying to cope and took one of the "big-gun" pain pills. I still hurt, but nowhere near as badly, and I could even probably get some work done. Of course I'm also loopier than a loon, so any work I get done will have to be reviewed later for, y'know, coherency. But it still beats the heck out of where I was before. Now if the darn thing would only choose to go away sometime soon...

My congratulations though if you're managing to stay upright. When I migraine either the pain, the light sensitivity, or the migraine pills are enough to keep me down.
Cats in the bedroom do NOT help. Trust me on this one.
