Several years ago, [livejournal.com profile] sunkrux gave me a Happy Bunny pin that sums up my existence (and perhaps my personality) nicely: "crazy doesn't even begin to cover it."

I've wanted a userpic icon of that ever since - with the same yellow background as the pin I have, not the light-purple background of some of the images I've seen. And now, today, I have one. It wasn't as if getting one was some kind of major effort; I'd just never gotten around to it before. And now I have. Happy happy!

In light of this, here's a question for you: name some simple little item or thing that you've wanted for a while, has been well within your capacity to do/get, and yet you have never gotten around to doing/acquiring/experiencing. Bonus points if you articulate why you haven't done so.

I've been pondering this for a while and I'm sure there's something, or more likely several somethings, but I'm still thinking.

There was a CD I had for years on my Amazon wishlist as "Highest Priority" that I never got around to buying. Then my bro gave it to me. He said it was a reward for my patience. ;-)

I'll keep thinking...

Not sure whether my right-hand, emerald ring counts as a "simple little item." I will say that I've been meaning to listen to a podcast of Reza Aslan since early April, but it never seems to make it to the top of the priority list. Part of the reason is that it's available only as a streaming video, which means that (without a laptop) I have to listen to it in my office, sitting in my desk chair. My desk chair is comfortable enough but not as comfortable as, say, my couch, and comitting to sitting in my desk chair for 1-2 hours at a time seems... unappealing. (Note that I often spend that amount of time in that chair anyway. But I never *plan* to do so.)

Or maybe the real reason is that I heard a snippet of it on the radio and was completely entranced with Aslan's rhetorical style. If I listen to it now and in full, will I still be entranced or will I be, ultimately, disappointed?

How many bonus points do I get? Have begun to listen to it; we'll see how far I get.
