What a week. It's been crazy-busy at work as we rush to lock down (next week should be much better) and just tons to do. Plus some just crazy, but that's another story.

But it's Friday now, and I'm in the mood for some silly quizzage/memage. Since I don't know of any particularly compelling quizzage offhand, I think I'll start my own. Feel free to pick up the meme and spread it around if you like.

The Where Would I Take Anthony Bourdain? Quiz

Imagine that Anthony Bourdain has come to your home town (or the town where you currently reside, or whatever), and you're in charge of taking him to three different restaurants in a single day. Where would you take him and why? Post this question and instructions, list your location-of-choice and your three different places, and link back to the person who posted this quiz.

Location: Seattle, WA
1) Than Brothers Pho. The original restaurant on Aurora Avenue, skanky decor and all. For Tony, I don't think you could beat the combination of atmosphere (funky/skanky), food (utterly delicious pho, free cream puffs as an appetizer), and price (under $5 per head unless you're really going overboard).
2) North Seattle Coffee Shop Tour. Can't come to Seattle without visiting at least half-a-dozen coffee joints - and Starbucks doesn't count unless you're going to the original shop down in Pike Place. Besides which, if you've ever seen Tony, you know that caffeine is one of his required drugs. Definite stops include: Cafe Van Gogh, Cloud City Coffee, and Honey Bear Bakery at Third Place (and perhaps a trip downstairs to the pub, too) - but there's lots and lots and LOTS of places to choose from/visit. This is Seattle, after all.
3) If Tony and his crew are picking up the tab - well, The Herbfarm, of course! I mean, come on, this is the Herbfarm, you've got to save up and go to the Herbfarm at least once in your life...yum!!! And we could swing this if it were just me, [livejournal.com profile] fisherbear, and Tony (it IS Tony, talk about a once in a lifetime chance!), but we sure couldn't afford to take his whole crew. Alternate location if we can't afford the Herbfarm: Red Mill Burgers up on Phinney Ridge, just because you have to witness the mob scene for these burgers in order to believe it.

So there you have it. And hey, Tony, if you're out there reading this...come back and do JUST SEATTLE, okay? Do JUST PORTLAND, too. No fair trying to smoosh the two in one show.
