Things you don't want to see at 5 a.m.
Oct. 10th, 2007 07:52 amI got up a bit earlier than usual this morning in order to take care of a bit of work. I logged into my work computer from home and settled down for what should have been ten minutes of work, max. Unfortunately, the build process upon which this work depends appears to have failed yet again. The new build didn't pick up changes in the source files for some reason. And no one who can "deal" with the problem will be in the office for hours yet.
I hate the fact that my deliverable is dependent on a process that I can neither control nor monitor nor kick off myself, and people whom I can neither rely upon, nor trust, nor directly communicate with.
This sucks.
Okay, done ranting for the moment. Back into the fray.
