Four pumpkins later...

jaunthieI had pumpkin curry soup for supper, and then I carved the Halloween jack-o-lanterns. I don't like doing it too far ahead of time, as I prefer to roast the pumpkins afterwards for pumpkin bread, pumpkin curry sauce, pumpkin soup, and the like. Not something you want to do if your pumpkins have been sitting out cut open for several days, but a night in cold temperatures is okay, and I won't be home early enough to do it before the trick-or-treaters tomorrow.
I miss my Pumpkin Death parties, though. I didn't have one last year because I was hanging a show that weekend, and I didn't schedule one this year because I thought I was going to be in San Diego on the logical weekend. Someday, maybe I'll throw one again.
In the meantime, less than 30 hours before the start of NaNoWriMo. YIKES!!!
