Gah. I caught the office cold on Tuesday, but I didn't realize it. I thought my congestion was just allergies (there's about a week in the spring and a week in the fall where I get all stuffy), so I took decongestants and went in to work as usual. I was completely blah all day, and by the end of the day I'd figured out "hey, dummy, this ain't allergies." I spent yesterday mostly sleeping and dosing myself with large quantities of vitamin C (including some of the OJ I squeezed and froze from the oranges on Grandma's tree - that stuff will stop any cold dead in its tracks, it is so potent!).
Today I feel much improved, although I'm being prudent and working from home as I'm still not 100%.
The down sides:
Time for more juice, I think.
Today I feel much improved, although I'm being prudent and working from home as I'm still not 100%.
The down sides:
- I probably exposed my co-workers on Tuesday. Granted, this is almost certainly the cold making the rounds at the office already, so probably no big, but I have a moral objection to exposing co-workers to sickness regardless.
- I've been under my goal word count two days running. Granted, I'm still ahead of the game overall and still averaging more than 2,000 words per day, but I'd better get my butt in gear today.
Time for more juice, I think.
