Oh my goodness me my...whoa

jaunthieI just crossed the 40,000 word mark in my NaNovel today. That means I have less than 10,000 words to go before I "win".
Of course, looking at where my story is right now, there's no way in hell that the story itself will be complete in another ten thousand words. It's going to be a lot longer than that. But still, the goal was 50,000 words by the end of November. And with twelve days to go, I only have to write less than a thousand words a day to make it.
The mind boggles.
On the up side, one of the characters from one of my plot threads *finally* met one of the characters from my other plot thread. And by the time I finish this monster, go back and edit it properly, maybe it won't take over 35,000 words for that to happen...
Editing later. Writing now. Onwards!
