Once more unto the breach, dear friends
Dec. 9th, 2007 07:35 pmI've taken a bit of a breather from the NaNovel this past week, both because I needed one after the 30-day sprint of November, and because of the Damned Cold From Hell. But it's time to get back into the saddle again. I have formally committed to finishing the darn thing by February 1. (Not-so-seekrit message for
monkeybard: Do we mean written and edited, or just first draft complete by said date?) Anyhow, I've got a lot of work to do. And I am (hopefully) finally over the Damned Cold From Hell (although given them amount of hacking and wheezing I heard from other people when I was out grocery shopping today, who knows about a secondary exposure).
I've re-stocked on beeswax candles (yes, I burn candles when I write. Long story.), done a lot of grocery shopping for meals this next week, and worked out in my head at least one nagging plot detail that was really bugging me. It's time to dive back in to it.
Cry God for Kate, Michael, and the rest of my motley crew!
On a completely unrelated note,
fisherbear and I have started researching and specing out a complete re-do of our home network, including our wireless system, adding a media center PC or two, and a home server/backup system. Anyone out there who actually reads this blog have any anecdotes/recommendations/warnings they'd care to share on the subject?
