...it's that I can never predict whether a particular blog post will generate comments or not. Granted, I have a very limited audience (if any at all), but even with that small and known audience, I just can't predict whether a specific blog post will or will not generate responses. Posts that I think are interesting and invitations to dialogue go completely without responses; other posts that I figure are of interest to no one in particular wind up with several. And then, just when I think I've found a pattern (such as "frivolous post=responses"), I'll get a response (or lack of response) that completely flies against the theory. Oh well. Such is life.

Hm. Loved the show, although I'm not sure I'd make it very far in that universe. Then again, who knows?

Keep in mind that the influence of external factors having nothing to do with your blog is large. (Say, in my case, finals, program stuff, rotation reports, out of town guests... and that's just today.)

You make a good point. Yet another factor in my inability to predict the universe, I suppose. ;-) Even given that, though, given the extremely limited number of people who read this blog, you'd think that I ought to be able to come up with *some* semi-plausible prediction model for comments.

Would it help to know that I'm still digesting that other entry? I read it..and have been thinking about it...and well...I haven't had time to respond to it, yet. ;)
