Happy Solstice, everyone!

Today is the shortest day and longest night of the year (for the Northern hemisphere, anyway; reverse that if you're in the Southern hemisphere). Where I live, the days get longer again from here on out until the Summer solstice. Which means I'll be getting a bit more daylight every day. Hurrah!

Here's hoping the coming season brings you health, happiness, and at least one joyful surprise! (Happy surprises are nice.)
