I think I understand why some of my entries appear in my friends' LJ lists, and others don't. If I write something and don't have time to post it right then, I save it and upload it later - and backdate the entry accordingly. I think that if I do that, and then I edit it to fix something (like a typo), I somehow sufficiently befuddle LJ to the point where that post won't appear on my friends' blogs' "Friends" pages.

(Oy, not sure I got that last syntax right...)

In any event, it's a theory.

Syntax looks good to me. I'm impressed that you identified the apparent root cause. Oh wait, they pay you for that, don't they?

Well, LJ doesn't pay me, but yes, my paying job does involve a lot of investigation of software glitches (I mean features). ;-)
