The gift of an unexpected free morning

First of all, to those who chimed in on the conversation posts: thank you. You all had very interesting things to say. Much food for thought, which makes me a very happy camper.

My Saturday mornings are usually fairly busy and fairly predictable. Get up, turn off alarm clock, get dressed, eat a quick breakfast, go to the gym, stop at coffee shop on the way home, pick up coffee for myself and fisherbear, return home, drink coffee and chat, take shower, get on with day. Nothing earth-shaking, and all entirely predictable.

Not this morning.

As it turned out, fisherbear needed the car this morning, as he missed his bus. And my PT guy J is sick. So my usual Saturday morning routine went entirely by the wayside. I have spent the last few hours baking goodies for tonight's party, catching up on my reading, and generally indulging in doing things more-or-less entirely without reference to a clock, schedule, or other predetermined path. It's quite novel, and I'm very much enjoying it.

I still need to make it to the gym at some point, but it's rather nice not worrying about when.
