Dear Body, and most especially to my beloved Brain,
Yes, I know I've been working hard recently, and consequently working you hard. And I know you're not the biggest fan of the long hours at the keyboard, Shoulders and Neck. You've made that very clear, and I am trying to acommodate your requests for better posture and lots of stretching. I understand that Body is not always very happy about going to the gym, particularly when I am including exercises that involve Shoulder and Neck. However, I hope that Body understands that going to the gym is for its ultimate good, no matter what Shoulder and Neck and Knee mutter in the back alleys.
While I understand that you are not entirely happy about the state of things, Body, was it really necessary to take it out on poor Brain? While it is true that Brain tends to run the show (and therefore schedules things like going to the gym and getting work done), Brain is also responsible for critical ongoing functions like breathing. And inflicting a massive headache on Brain to the point where it hurts to breathe is not beneficial to anyone, Body included.
Brain is now sufficiently indulged in medications to allow Brain to function, if marginally, and the pain is mostly at bay. But Body, the next time you want to throw a temper tantrum, I hope you can agree on a less destructive way to express whatever frustrations you might have.
Really, we all have to work together. Please keep that in mind.
Love,
Me
