More snow, yet less travel problems
Feb. 10th, 2009 06:19 pmThere was more snow on the ground this morning than there was yesterday, but fortunately it was still well in the "looks pretty on the grass but is not actually a problem on the streets" category. Which is just as well, as I somehow managed to turn off my alarm clock, and woke up ten minutes before I needed to be out the door.
*cue lightning bolts and clouds of swearing in lieu of thunder*
I made it, but it was not a pleasant way to start the day. Fortunately the bus came (unlike yesterday), and the work day was less fraught than it could have been. It was also made charming by the continued snow-globe nature of the weather glimpsed out the windows. Lots of flakes flying everywhere, nothing sticking for long. Very pretty. Also very distracting, in a lava-lamp kind of way. I wonder if people who live where it regularly snows develop an immunity to the hypnotic qualities of falling snow?

Date: 2009-02-11 05:21 am (UTC)I kinda miss the snow. Mostly just the ability to sit all warm and cozy in a house staring out the window.
