A very good Friday the 13th

Friday the 13ths don't tend to be unlucky in my experience. Rather the reverse, in fact. And today was a *very* good day, although that was in part because last Thursday was not lucky at all.

You see, I had arranged to take last Thursday off from work and go to the spa with Jake, humilitas, Luthien, and monkeybard. I desperately needed a break, and sitting up to my neck in actual hot water (instead of the metaphorical kind I wallow in daily) was just the ticket. Unfortunately things didn't work out; Luthien, humilitas and I all had last-minute conflicts with the day, and we had to cancel. We rescheduled for today and hoped for the best.

Unfortunately, Jake couldn't join us (she got called for jury duty), but the rest of us made it to the spa. It was unusually crowded, but wonderful nonetheless. We soaked in the pools and baked in the saunas and hot rooms and socialized and had a grand time. I feel much less tense, and it was fantastic getting to spend so much time with some of my friends! I'll just have to make another trip with Jake sometime in the near future...

Friday was wonderfully relaxing and, yes, we need another day like that again soon! My shoulders are better, but my hands still keep falling asleep when they oughtn't.
