Talk about whiplash...
Mar. 15th, 2009 01:05 pm3:30 a.m.: Dark, cold, rainy, poor visibility.
5:00 a.m.: Dark, actively snowing.
6:10 a.m.: Feel like I'm in an old-time carwash as they're de-icing the plane.
9:15 a.m.: Bright sunshine, no humidity to speak of, and mid-to-upper 50's as we get off the plane.
10:00 a.m.: Breathing in citrus-blossom-scented air and staring at all the flowers blooming riotously every which way you look. Stunned by all the people wearing t-shirts and shorts, even though it is quite obviously t-shirt and short weather.
12:00 p.m.: Changing into t-shirt myself and thinking about wearing shorts (and/or swimsuit).
1:00 p.m.: Working on my computer from the sun-drenched patio, breathing in the perfumed air, and listening to the mockingbirds sing their heads off.
This kind of climate change is definitely a shock to the system, but oh my is it nice.
