Resisting temptation
Apr. 11th, 2009 10:39 pmI have much gardening yet to do. It is the season, and there are weeds to be pulled, beds to be finished, holes to be dug, veggies to be planted...you get the idea.
I've also gotten a fairly clear memo from a tendon in my forearm that I should knock off any serious gardening work for at least a few more days. So despite the fact that it actually was kinda-sortof decent weather for a few hours this afternoon (as good as it's likely to get for at least another three or four days), I did *not* go out and garden. I did other, less forearm-intensive chores.
Grr.
In related news, we have a major weather front moving into the area this evening. How do I know? Because of the headache it's giving me.
Double grrr.
Oh well. At least tonight's stir-fry experiment turned out quite well, and judging by the smell from the kitchen, the latest candidate in the "trying to find a pound cake recipe similar enough to the commerical bakery Grandma's loved for years (and who has decided to stop distributing said cake to our coast) that she'll never know it isn't Bakery X" should be tasty. I'll have to wait until morning to find out for sure if it's any good.
