Firefly Syndrome strikes again
May. 2nd, 2009 09:44 amSometimes you just can't win.
I know yogurt is good for you. Unfortunately 99% of yogurt and yogurt-based products taste like crap to me. There's something about it that sets of the "ew, that's rotten" signals in my wee little brain. So when a friend recommended a yogurt smoothie she found - one that was only 90 calories, didn't contain artificial sweeteners or tons of crap, was really satisfying, and actually *tasted good*, I was highly skeptical.
But I happened to stumble across one in the store the other day, on sale. I was on the run, hadn't had time for lunch, it was going to be a few more hours before I could get to lunch, and I figured "what the heck". I bought a bottle of Chocolate Satisfaction Saiety Smoothie from Lightfull Foods.
And it was *GOOD*. Really good. Tasty, just the right amount, and kept me going for hours.
So naturally, I went back to the store today to get some more. But the store doesn't have any left. And when I go to their Web site, what comes up but a notice that they have gone out of business. Which is a definite shame, as they sounded like a cool company (and not just because I like their products).
Damnit! I swear, I discover the good stuff just in time for it to be pulled off of the air/go out of business/discontinue the line I was interested in.
Grrr!
