The first batch of beans from the garden were excellent, but rather scanty in quantity. That was a couple of days ago. I went out to pick beans for tonight's dinner. I easily harvested generous portions for both of us, left plenty of almost-big-enough beans on the vines, and there's tons of baby beans and flowers popping out everywhere.
I think we'll be eating a lot of green beans this summer.
Oh, and the cucumbers and pumpkins both have at least one baby growing, with hopefully more on the way. And I did a little thinning of a potato plant last night, to give a perennial more light (the potatoes weren't supposed to grow that far over). The fingerlings and young potatoes I got from that very hasty bit of digging were small, but oh so tasty.
Yum!
