Okay, I can see where the sound might make you edgy if you grew up in an area where hearing fighter jets meant actual fighting was going on. But for me, it's a quintissential sound of summer, and never fails to make my inner eight-year-old shriek for glee and go scrambling for the best viewpoint available.
