After spending the last year and change with her attention focused on her mother's health and her own wedding, my friend luthien is looking for a job in her field. She's asked everyone she knows to spread the word, as her field of expertise is rather esoteric; she had a degree from the College of Forestry at the UW. As she explains her degree and how it relates to the job market:
"My degree is in conservation of wildland resources, and most of my training is in forest ecology. I'm looking for an entry level position in a environmental consulting or landscape architecture firm."
She's not only a fabulous person, but extremely dedicated to environmental causes and sustainable practices. She also has a lot of people management job experience and is a highly regarded teacher (horseback riding). Anyone know of a company looking for an excellent employee? Anyone had a good experience with a landscaping or environmental consulting firm that they'd recommend looking into? If so, please send a comment or drop me a line - the more leads, the better!
We now return you your regularly scheduled blogging experience - and thanks!
