NaNo is still kicking my butt...

jaunthie...but after two days of cranking out over 4,000 words apiece, I'm kicking a little butt back. I'm now officially caught up with where I ought to have been, assuming the 1,667-words-a-day average required to make 50K words by November 30th. I'm even just a smidge over. Nothing like where I want to be, or where my fellow writing-buds are (at least some of them; humilitas is leading the pack and wiping the floor with all of us with over 18K words already), but enough that I'm no longer officially behind.
Here, I'll put the widget in, even though it's not actually showing the accurate word count yet:
Maybe by tomorrow it'll be accurate.
So yay that. And double yay for friendly neighborhood pubs with nice tables, good seating, and plenty of power outlets, who don't even blink twice when a group of people show up, claim a table, whip out the laptops, plug in, and start typing. They just ask us what we want to drink. And the weekly write-ins are definitely a major factor in keeping me afloat so far.
Now if we can just get J's tummy to stop giving him grief (he's gassy, poor thing), and if work would just calm down, I'd be in pretty good shape for the week to come. I'm crossing my fingers on those last two.
