As most of you know (or could learn from my profile), I'm a technogeek. The stereotypical cultural image of tech geeks is classic and persistent: a white, scrawny, socially-awkward, poorly-dressed male, usually with poor skin or other hygiene problems. That stereotype is not at all who I am, thankfully, nor does it match most of my fellow technogeek friends.

Okay, that's even worse than the pink laptop and wedge heels and get-in-your-way hair. Sheesh. Does she come with a pink poodle, too?
And yes, the temptation to get one just to freak out my fellow geeks is nontrivial.
