The brain, it does not engage

jaunthieUgh.
It's raining today, which means today is better than yesterday.
Why?
Because the cottonwoods are fluffing. And whatever it is that I'm allergic to (I think it isn't actually the cottonwoods) that blooms about the same time is blooming. And so I am stoned to the eyeballs on allergy meds and trying to function. If I weren't on the meds, I wouldn't be able to breathe or see or do much of anything but be utterly miserable. As it is, I'm just spacey and woozy and moderately congested with mildly itchy eyeballs and throat.
And the rain is washing all the crap out of the air, which helps.
This only lasts about a week at most, but oh, I do so not love this particular rite of spring. I miss having a working brain and functioning respiratory system.
Bleh.
