O woe - the office cold
Jun. 9th, 2005 09:42 amThere's been a really nasty cold at the office for the last three weeks or so. I resisted it up until Tuesday, when my throat started getting sore. Things went rapidly downhill from there, to the point where I actually stayed home sick yesterday. Resting has enabled me to recover enough to get back to work today, but if I didn't have so much to do, I'd probably be at home again today. If nothing else, being at home does not tempt me to try and talk nearly as much.
On the plus side, I've been remarkably healthy overall this year, considering just how many colds/flus/whatevers have been making the rounds at my workplace (most of my co-workers have kids, and you know what that means).
On the negative side, getting sick now really isn't good for my walking training. I only got 2 miles in on Tuesday (I should have walked 5), and I really don't know how I'm going to get in the 6 miles I'm supposed to do today. Not to mention the 17 miles I'm supposed to cover on Saturday... I really hope I'm feeling more the thing by then!
