A study in contrasts
Jul. 20th, 2010 10:24 amSometimes a random juxtaposition of images can say more about the differences between two cultures than a thousand words. Take, for example, the following two images that followed one after the other in the Tuesday releases "new TV-on-DVD" list:

Desperate Romantics (BBC)

Jersey Shore (MTV)
I know nothing about either show, but as a summation of the differences between BBC culture and MTV culture...yeah. Kind of says a lot, doesn't it?
And the truly ironic bit is that (at least according to the write-ups on Amazon) which show is it that has tons of nudity and sex, way more than an R movie?
That would be the six-part miniseries about the pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, of course - Desperate Romantics.
Heh!
This has been your random amusement for the day.
