So yes, I need to work in more exercise into my life.
But I'm not sure that volunteering myself to run a 5K next spring is the way to go about it. I'm doing so in order to support a friend and her efforts to get back into shape. This is a good thing.
However...
I don't run.
I've got bad knees, you see. And my joints are twisted in such a way that it's not really ideal. Running is hard on anyone's joints, but it's particularly not good for someone like me. So while I can (and do) run for short intervals on a treadmill as part of circuit training and the like, I don't run for real.
I guess that's going to change, at least for a while. This should be interesting.
