I improvised a recipe for dinner tonight. I made up a recipe for mushroom lasagne, taking advantage of the sale on multiple kinds of mushrooms, and working around my inconvenient tomato allergy. It came out quite well, if I do say so myself. I'm not sure I could duplicate it, as I was using what was to hand and wasn't measuring, but I will probably try at some point.

Improvising recipes, I'm comfortable with. Improvising entire novels...eh, not so much. It's less than 20 days to NaNoWriMo. I'm signed up, but I still have no clear idea what I'll be working on in November.

I'd better get my act together.
