NaNo word count, day 7: 13,559

So far, I'm on track, but not blazing ahead. This one's proving tougher and slower to form than the previous years' work. We'll see if any of it is any good at the end.

Writing aside (and at this time of year, there is no "writing aside," not really), I had a very busy weekend. Saturday started with an early-morning climbing session at the gym, and went on at a frenetic pace from there. I got a much-needed massage (yay!), did some much-needed grocery shopping, put away groceries, went on a walk with [livejournal.com profile] fisherbear, came home, made meatloaf from scratch, made the rest of dinner, ate dinner, did a bit of tidying...and didn't even get to start writing until 8 p.m. or so. Needless to say, it was a rush to get my word count in before midnight - and when I went to post my daily total, the site was down. AIGH!

Today was no less busy, although it started much more calmly thanks to the end of daylight savings time. I had time to snuggle in bed a bit before having to get up and get ready to go to the gym. Then it was spin class, get coffee, rush home, bake cookies (not originally on the schedule), shower, change, rush off to get humilitas and go to a book party, come back home, head down to the pub, and work at the write-in. The pub write-in wasn't nearly as productive as usual, so after we came home I put in yet more time with the keyboard to make a decent weekend day's total. I have a little cushion built up now, but not nearly as much as I'd like.

And I am very, very tired. Time to go to bed.
