NaNo Update, Day 18
Nov. 19th, 2010 08:23 amYes, so that was yesterday. Bite me.
Words written today: 2,040
Total words written: 36,060
Days remaining: 12
Words remaining until 50K: 13,940
I'm still on track and even ahead of the curve (at my current rate I'll hit 50K on November 25th), but I have to say this NaNo seems much harder than any of my previous three. Maybe it's the fact that I'm doing this for the fourth time. It might have something to do with the fact that I'm actually splitting my attention between two manuscripts (plus a short story that just snuck in there and had to be written for my own piece of mind), not just the one of previous years. And maybe TBBOD (the manuscript I wrote during the last three) just wanted to be written down more than SS or TED (this year's efforts).
Or possibly I'm just getting old. It certainly feels like I've got more on my plate this year than in years previous. Then again, it's possible I've got rose-colored glasses on when it comes to previous years, and it was always this hard.
I should go back and check my journal entries for the last three Novembers and see what turns up. Then again, do I really want to know if this IS much harder than I remember?
Ah well. I shall prevail, no matter how much it feels like pulling teeth.
