Happy Solstice!
Dec. 21st, 2010 02:38 pmIt's winter solstice - and a winter solstice with a full lunar eclipse, to boot! Unfortunately there was too much cloud cover for me to see the eclipse last night, but hopefully some of you got the chance to see it.
It's hard to believe that it's the holidays already. It's been crazy-busy this year, and yet I can't really put my finger on any one reason why I think so. Something to ponder, I'm sure.
Today's busyness involved (among other things) holiday baking. Specifically, cookies - molasses crinkles, a holiday treat I especially associate with my grandmother and special occasions. They're a little more trouble than the standard drop-cookie, but definitely worth it. And they make the house smell *wonderful*. I look forward to nibbling a few later in the evening, as the sun goes down on the shortest day of the year.
Happy solstice, everybody!
