So yes, it's already the second week in February, and I haven't posted a single thing here. Sorry about that. Life has rather gotten away from me at the moment, complicated by the fact that I apparently did Something Really Not Smart at the climbing gym this past weekend, thereby aggravating something that's been going on-and-off-awry in my right arm for the last month or so.
At the moment I am one-and-a-half handed, wearing a brace on my right wrist (although I think it's really more to do with the elbow or forearm), and scheduled to see the sports medicine people tomorrow. I am hoping it's something relatively innocuous, like a strained tendon, and not a preview of all the things that are about to go wrong with my joints because they're Just Not Correctly Aligned, from a normal human perspective.
Sigh.
But the rest of my life has been busy and unpredictable, too. Nothing newsworthy, just random and packed full of stuff. I've been so out of the loop of things that I completely failed to notice that the US Skating Championships have been and gone, and normally I really like trying to watch at least a little of that kind of thing. I like skating.
Fortunately, the boys over at Project RunGay did a lovely little recap of the Men's and Women's performances, at least from a clothing perspective. I suggest checking these out if you need a laugh.
More news as circumstances warrant.

Date: 2011-02-09 06:52 pm (UTC)Though seriously? A lot of these things can be dealt with, with appropriate study and care. Okay, sometimes really ridiculous amounts of study and care* (why am I getting a PhD in biomechanics?) and having the right people to consult with is really important** but still, change, it is possible. I'm in way better shape that I was for, say, my twenties. Things keep breaking, I keep going after them with the duct tape and baling wire, and so far I'm mostly coming out ahead. Can't last forever, but hey.
* and probably having very little fashion sense
** Though if it ever comes to it, I know a lot of good folks in Seattle - and had to weed through way more mediocre folks to find them - and would be happy to share my list.
