Okay, this is getting ridiculous
Aug. 24th, 2011 08:50 amI'm sick.
I'm hardly the only one, either. It seems like pretty much everyone I know has been ill in the last two weeks. There's a really nasty bug going around. Some people seem to shake it off relatively quickly. For others, it lingers for a week or more.
Me? I came down with it on Saturday afternoon, including running a temperature. And I'm still sick now, nearly four full days afterwards. Better than I was on Saturday, true. But still sick. Still feeling totally whomped. Still seeing all this gorgeous weather, with potatoes that need harvesting and beans that need picking and yardwork that needs doing and WATERING that should be done - and getting none of that done. Trying to do some of my actual work from home, and lacking the energy and brainpower to make much headway.
And somewhere along the way, I lost the knack of being able to zone out in front of TV shows. I have many, many hours of TV I've DVR'd, and isn't one of the few silver linings to being sick the chance to watch some TV?
So far, it hasn't worked out that way. I'm too tired and yucky-feeling and headachy to want to put in the effort.
Yeah, I know. Lame.
But I do wish this bug would hurry up and leave already.
Oh, and
fisherbearhas it too. Our household is a sunny bundle of joy, I'm telling you.
I hate being sick.

Date: 2011-08-28 02:58 am (UTC)I'm better now, although still far less energetic than the norm. I'm glad you're improving, and hope we both shake the last of this stuff off soon!
