Come out and cheer this weekend!

The Breast Cancer 3-Day is this weekend. That's right, my walk starts on Friday morning, and I'll be walking all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There are cheering stations set up all along the way, as well as a closing ceremony on Sunday that you can attend if you wish. Come on out and cheer She's Jake To Me, me, and 3,000-plus other folks on!


The following Cheering Stations are safe, designated areas for spectators to support the 3-Day walkers.

The closing ceremony will be held in Magnuson Park at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 24. Spectators are advised to arrive around an hour early. Magnuson Park is located at 7400 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98115. For more information, see this Web site: Magnuson Park.

I'm really looking forward to this, and I hope to see at least some of you on the way. I'll try to post at least a mini-blog entry each day of the 3-Day, but it will depend on fisherbear's laptop, my energy level, and general logistics. If nothing else, though, I'll have lots to blog about once I'm done!

I will have to cheer for you virtually!! My daughter has her muscial this weekend so I will not be able to come to any of the spots.

I'm excited for (well, with) you! Dad is coming this weekend, so I'll have to see how that schedule works out. No chance you're carrying a cell phone to narrow the window during which you'll be visible? ;-)

Unfortunately chatting on the cell phone while actually walking during the 3-Day is prohibited (for good and valid safety reasons). But I will have it with me, and I can call you from one of the rest stops if need be. Don't worry about it. :-)
