jaunthie | Concert envy

Nickel Creek's latest album, Why Should the Fire Die?, is due out August 9th. In support of the album, the trio is doing a small-venue tour in cooperation with local radio stations for private performances of all the tracks on the album. You can't buy tickets to these shows; you have to win them on the radio. Unfortunately, I can't get The Mountain at work, which means my chances of winning tickets is pretty close to nil. Which is really sad, because although I'm not normally much of a concert buff, the thought of seeing Nickel Creek at the Triple Door has me drooling all over my keyboard. I saw them at the Paramount last year, and even in such a huge space, they were just amazing.

*sigh*

Oh well. Life goes on.
