A moral victory of sorts
Mar. 4th, 2005 05:59 amLast night, for the first time since I started training for the 3-Day, I really didn't want to walk. It had been a very long, very busy day, I had a headache, and by the time I could get free to walk, it was already pushing 9 p.m.. This is where having set goals comes in very handy for me, because I got off my duff and made myself walk anyway. Not only that, I decided that I really should get a little extra distance in. I walked 3.2 miles, which when added to my 1.45 in the morning brought me to 4.65 miles for the day. I can't say I really enjoyed the walk, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I feared, and I felt vaguely self-righteous by the end of it. Yay me. Now if I could just perk up a little this morning, I'll be in business.
