One of the good things about where I work

One of the nice things about where I work is that when life asks you to drop everything and get somewhere else, they're pretty supportive about saying "yep, you go do that". I just booked my tickets to go visit Grandma H and Aunt K next week. Grandma's still in the hospital, improving, but not yet ready to be released. Hopefully she'll be well enough to go home before the weekend. My parents are flying in on Sunday and will leave the day I arrive, so Grandma and Aunt K should have company all week. Hopefully we won't drive them (and the new dog!) crazy.

The good: I get to go see my Grandma H and Aunt K.
The not-so good: Grandma not being well, the price of airline tickets (particularly on short notice), fisherbear can't come with me :-(
The bad: Short of winning the lottery in the next week or so, this pretty much shoots down any chance of me going to RenFaire with Ryalin and monkeybard.

As long as Grandma keeps getting better, I can live with everything else.
