Goodbye Archie

Just heard on the radio this morning that Archie Drake passed away Wednesday, after collapsing after the final performance of Macbeth on May 20th. He was 81 years old, and still singing/performing every year for Seattle Opera. I have many fond memories of seeing him perform, and I was lucky enough to meet him once along with the rest of my elementary-school class. He was a truly kind and charming gentleman, and a talented performer. He will be missed.
