jaunthieHeronswood, the world-renowned Kingston plant nursery founded by Hinkley, has been closed by the Philadelphia-based Burpee seed company.
This is a huge loss for the gardening community worldwide. On a local level, I'm also infuriated by the Burpee company's characterization that the serious gardening community can only be found on the East Coast. Hello, asshats, there 's a REASON Heronswood started and thrived here!!! Frickin' East Coast bias from snobbish morons strikes again... grr...
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not buying any more Burpee seeds, ever.
