jaunthieEpic ride and stage win puts Landis back in 3rd place in Tour de France.
Landis had a really bad day in the Tour de France yesterday, falling from 1st place to 11th (more than 8 minutes behind the new leader). Apparently he forgot to eat and completely bonked on the last climb. (Question: how do you FORGET to eat? I guess you're in so much pain in this race that eating isn't something you think about?)
Everyone wrote him off; there was no way he could get back into contention. Particularly not with his bad hip (his hip joint is dead and has to be replaced after this race). Everyone knew he was done, over, toast.
Everyone, that is, except Floyd Landis himself and his teammates.
Today he just crushed everyone and is thirty seconds from first place.
Can't wait to see it on tonight's TV replay.
Here's hoping Mr. Landis finishes in Paris wearing yellow - the man deserves it!
