One of the disadvantages to working in an eastside office/cave...

...is that unlike many of my friends and acquaintances, I don't get to hear/see the Blue Angels practicing. I miss that. It's just not the same without seeing at least one glimpse of a 4-plane diamond or seeing a single jet streaking across the sky. Back when I worked downtown, I got front-row seats to the practices, particularly the year they were performing their show over Elliot Bay instead of Lake Washington.

Not only do I get to see them...I get to hear and FEEL them. They come ZOOOOOOOOMMMMMING by our depot really low too.

When they're in San Diego, they fly out of Miramar, which is only a few miles from our house. Their show takes them directly over our house several times. I'll sit in the backyard and watch them fly right over. It's an absolute hoot.
